I have found several samples of letters FROM Santa to the child but I was looking for something that my 4 year old granddaughter could use to write TO Santa.

Santa is magic, therefore the child should be given a piece of paper and a little help from you and that should be enough. Remember, the more you try to rationalize things for a child, the more suspicious they become. I let the kids write whatever they want and make sure I know what they're wanting, send it off and I write the note FROM Santa on Christmas eve after we put the presents out. I also eat the cookies...heehee:) Last year we had the kids make a card for Santa that we left w/ the cookies and I wrote the response right on the card. The kids love it and as long as you are careful they will believe for one more year.

Try this: http://www.dearsanta.com/
It is a really easy fill in the balnks page. Also just search "Dear santa" on Yahoo. I got a few more that came up, but this one looked the best. I just had to look for some of this myself. I was looking for a letter from Santa to our son, to start a tradition.

Good luck!

I think the easiest would be just to make a stationary for them to use.
