briefly what was this war about and whose side were we on? Why?

About Sebrenisa : only the Dutch let it allow. With the British they did not mess around, they have prooven themselves time by time.
Neither the Belgians did not let do the Servians what they liked to do.
Problem is that it must be big news or with Americans involved before you see something in your news channels. All those small stories when Europeans do something good is not worth mentioning for US news channels. That's the problem !

The US reluctantly got involved after years of demands from our European allies that we 'do something' about the civil war and genocides occurring there.

These are the same Europeans who literally had their soldiers watch people get massacred in Seribenca and Sarajevo. (Only US troops are violent enough to actually fight in order to protect civilian lives.)

We're still over there and in Kosovo (A province in Serbia). One of my buddies just got deployed for a year over there. But i'd go with the answer from the guy above me.
