Wouldn't it be great if we got a third set of teeth? If we lost our teeth again when we're 20-30 and got new teeth again? It's not impossible, it has happened to adults, but very very few. My dentist said that it's because people used to die in their 40's and 50's. But now that people live well into their 80's, shouldn't our bodies evolve and give us another set of teeth? I didn't really realize when I was younger that these are the teeth I'm going to have for the rest of my life. It wouldn't be that weird to be missing a tooth in your 20's if it happened to everyone.

Why just a third, i'd put up with the pain of them cutting through gums to have new teeth whenever they were needed throughout my life.

It would be great, but I'd rather see replacements about age 30 when you've learned to take care of teeth yourself and hopefully have the money yourself for proper care. It's a real drain on parents with multiple kids to get them all braces. Much better for the final set of teeth to be paid for by the one whose gonna use them.

Some people do get a third set of teeth. They are called dentures.

Yes, that would be great. Of course in this day and age a lot of people buy a third set (dentures), so they are set for life.

A VERY INTERESTING CONCEPT!
EVEN THOUGH HUMANS ONLY HAVE 2 SETS OF THROUGHOUT LIFE, A RUSSIAN GENETICIST FOUND THAT THE HUMAN GENOME HAS A THIRD SET OF TEETH.

UNFORTUNATELY, WE'D NEVER SEE THIS HAPPEN.
IF WE WERE LIKE SHARKS, WE'D CONTINUALLY BE HAVING NEW TEETH WHEN WE BROKE THEM...

I am 12 and i have some of my first lot of teeth still, most of them are my second lot and a few are 3rd lots. It is possible but not to all. You also might get them if you have your wisdom teeth.

Gosh! That will be so cool! I mean I will definitely learn to be more appreciative of my 3rd set of teeth!

Do you think the tooth fairy would still visit us when we lost our second set of teeth? Now that would be cool.

My mom's cousin had three sets of teeth. It was really weird and the family still ridicules him about it.

Or maybe we could just take better care of the teeth we already have.
