The pain after is not that bad, and the dentist should give you some medicine which should take care of it. You should not feel any pain while it is actually happening, but you will have to hear what's happening, and you will also feel a significant amount of pressure. Do not mistake that for pain, though.

You can't feel pain but you can feel like they are getting touched. It hurts after but they give you medicine. Just make sure you rinse the wounds like they instruct you to because they can can infected.
