I strongly agree with AMBER...good idea. Also keep in mind that all females love good smellie stuff...look to see what her favorite perfume is and buy a big bottle. Most of the time we'll(females) buy the small bottle because its cheaper. Or candles. Does she like the smell of roses, vannlia,lavender? You could choose a good aroma of the season. Some thing pumpkin for thanks giving, for x-mas something that smells like cookies or carmel, all cookies have a slight smell of carmel from the sugar melting, Lotions...ect. Just good smellie stuff. For herself, or her house.

perfume
book on subjects I adore
gift certificate (coffee, food)
Chocolate (tons of it)
Tickets to a good concert, opera, show
Go with her likes and you cant lose. Mothes always love most what there kids get for them.

if she was close to her parents or parent, take their picture to one of those places that paints a portrait in the mall then frame it and hang it wrapped up. would work with any other person she likes/loves, for example, all her kids in a picture.

If you are not staying with her- a visit with a cake or flowers. Or take her out for dinner. Do something that pleases her - need not be materialistic but something from the heart - that would please her most.
