Don't tell me not to drink. I'm a grown woman.
Just answer the question if you can.
Thanks.

If you're getting sick while drinking, then maybe you need to try different types of alcohol. You may be unable to handle certain liquors, etc. while others may be just fine. Like many people get sick when drinking tequila; find out what kind of drinks you can handle.

And, remember the saying if you're planning on drinking both liquor and beer.

Liquor then beer, you have nothing to fear.
Beer then liquor, get sick quicker.

So, if you are going to drink both, start with liquor, and you'll be less likely to get sick.

And drink water with it. Especially before you go to bed. Drink lots of water. Alcohol dehydrates your body and that's what causes the hangover feeling. So drink lots of water before going to bed and you'll be less likely to have a hangover.

Try drinking a little olive oil, the pure extra virgin is the best. I eat a big breakfast with fryed potatoes, eggs, bacon and toast with a lot of butter, then I can usually drink beer all day. I try my best to stay away from the hard stuff. I have known a lot of people who have no tolerance for alcohol, one or two beers and they are wiped out. It depends a great deal on the person. Sometimes if I have been drinking all day I will eat supper and then eat like some jelly beans. I know a lot of grown people that need to be told not to drink, but they will anyway.

Some people have an allergic reaction to alcohol. This may be the case with you, if so there is not a lot to do about it, though I have heard of some very gradually building a tolerence.

One thing you could try is to carefully sample different kinds of alcohol on different days and see if any are better or worse. Different kinds of alcohol can have vastly different affects on your body chemistry. Even different brands can do it, because they vary the ingredients.

Also, try eating before, or during or after to see if that makes a difference.

One last thing to consider is the environment you are drinking in. Smokey bars (as opposed to outside parties) are much harder on my system. I will sometimes feel worse the next day not because of the alcohol itself, but because the smoke has messed up my sinuses.

I took a bartending class at Johnson & Wales, they say a great way to prevent hang overs is to have a glass of water before bed, and then about half-way through the night wake yourself up and have another glass. Hangovers are no more than dehydration of the body. The body has nothing to process but the alcohol, so have a glass of water and give it something else to process. Maybe try a glass of water between drinks, even if it isn't anymore than say 4 ounces. Good Luck!!!

Have a decent meal before you start. Make sure it includes some form of potatoes, pasta or rice. This will keep you from getting drunk too fast, which can make you sick. Drink water in between drinks, this will help you stay hydrated. Don't chug or guzzle, there's no race to be the stupid girl who whips off her shirt screaming, "I'm DRunK!!". Too many fruity drinks or sour drinks can make you want to hurl, or mixing milk drinks with those types, yeeurgh. Do snack a bit...crackers, pretzels or fries help keep your stomach settled, but DON'T pig out! Before bed, take two aspirin and a large glass of water.

You just have a low tolerance for alcohol. You system apparently jumps right on that alcohol. Forget all the crap about eating this or that before getting bombed it doesn't work. the longer you drink(a period of years) the better you can handle it.You build up your tolerance.Havingsaid that,i'll say this, if you can't drink you shouldn't.

Quit drinking, it's quite simple. You say you're a grown woman but you can't seem to stop doing something knowing that it will make you sick. Why would you do that to yourself?

it may be the type of alcohol you consume (dark or white). I personally feel like ish every time i drink any white alcohol. Jack Daniels however doesnt phase me one bit. so maybe that is your issue too.
