Atheism simply means that a person does not believe in a God. It does not funnily, prevent them from having a religion without one!
So atheism is a simple term and not really capable of being turned into an extreme.
However many non Christians are so fed up with the attitudes and utterances thrown at them be Christians that they are anti Christian.
If Christians cannot let people live in peace they should not seek to hide behind the excuse of others being atheists but accept that it is their behaviour that is turning people against them and their God.
