Jenay is right. AnnualCreditReport.com is the only government approved site to receive your free credit report from each of the bureaus.
FreeCreditReport and the like, asks for credit card information and requires you to sign up for their services. AnnualCreditReport.com doesn't require a credit card nor are you required to sign up for anything.
Oh, and your credit score does not drop for looking at your own credit report, even with the free ones. You can look at your reports as many times as you choose.

How many times can people ask the same question? Use the 'Search for Questions'. Good grief!

EASY! Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com

There is no fee or service to sign up for, unlike freecreditreport.com

You can check your report for all three credit bureaus at no charge once a year. You can pay a little extra, like $5-6, to get your credit score.

if you go to a site that offers a free trial, you can enter your credit card number and no charges will be made until after 30 days. i have done it several times at freecreditreport.com you can cancel your membership after you receive your credit report. there are no penalties as long as its before 30 days.
