Both my moms side of the family & my dads side of the family ... it's crazy but since we were little our family has had to eat twice on Thanksgiving ... no complantes ... but year after year I eat sooooo much food on that day I feel like I'm going to explode ... !

Now that I have my own family ... I have to eat three times ... I can't be rude & not visit with my boyfriends family either ... so we end up eating more ... and more ... every year ... lol ... !

We have the " weird " dinner at my dads side - grandma is Japanese so we cook - Ham, Sushi, Fried-rice, Teryaki Chicken ... etc ... !

I eat all that food & then go to my moms side - where we have the traditional Turkey, Stuffing, Rolls ... etc ... it's great & I wouldn't trade the world for it ... but it's really hard on the stomach ... lol ... I hang out with my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, great-granparents ... family friends ... I have a huge huge family ... we're all pretty close ... so I enjoy all my holidays ... the way I feel every family should spend them ... !

My thanksgiving is more of the start of Christmas, my ex, my kids and I all watch the parade, then put up the tree after. If family stops by (my mother this year) we'll have a traditional meal. If not, I could just skip the whole day...

Always family. Once I lived way out of state and my husband and I went to a restaurant, just the two of us. I hated it. I love the Walton style meals and lots of leftovers.
