He probably really doesnt WANT him. But rather just another way to get back at you, and OUT of paying child support.
Dont be concerned. He must PROVE that you're a bad mother.
And I believe that's next to impossible.

And how does that make you a bad mother? Maybe he has realized that he wants his child in his life, and that he screwed up. And the whole hard stuff being over such as diaper changes feedings at 2 am, that is not hard. The hard part is raising that child and helping them become responsible beings. A rebellious teen is harder than changing their diapers. Trust me, when they are teens, you will be wishing you could go back to those days. As long as he has been paying his child support, then he has a right to his child, no matter how long it has been. don't be selfish, and be happy that he wants something to do with your son. Let your child decide if he wants his father around, not based on what you want. :)

no way should he take that child. he wasn't there before so what makes you think he's going to be there in the long run? mothers should always take the child. they know more about them and in this case you know wayyyy more than him. well yea if he takes the child what will he grow up to become? base it on your husbands acts. what if he ends up in jail? what if he never gets a job? and your not a bad mother. a bad mother is someone who dosen't give a damn about they're family at all. he is being a bad father and you should take the child. but don't leave his father out of his whole life after all it is his dad and in those ways i mean let him visit every once in awhile

The courts will always tend to favor the mother, over the father, unless their is proven abuse from the mother..........Unless there has been reckless behavior from your part, endangering, neglecting or abusing the child, I wouldn't worry to much about it.....You may need to hire an attorney, especially if he has hired a savvy attorney, to make you look like a bad mother....Best of luck....

As long as you're not dependent on alcohol or drugs, and are able to provide for your son, and keep a neat house (most of the time), you shouldn't be worried.
