it is very difficult to leasrn greek by yourself.. somebody has to teach you.. there are many grammar rules, spelling rules e.t.c. that will confuse you at the beggining. when you learn them it will be much easier to understand a few things by yourself. you need to be taught the basics..

The best way to learn Greek is to visit Greece, but if you can't do that I'd recommend a college course. Online courses, books, audio tapes will all work but they all lack live conversations.

I don't know the best place, but I learned through cds. It took me 3 weeks and my greek was passable, but you may want to use a combination of things so that you can read and write the language as well.

You'd be a better person to answer your question. You know how you learn best and what works for you... If someone said from a audio source and you didn't like listening to tapes, it wouldn't help you.

You need to learn it in an organized manner, so I guess a (college) course would be the best choice.

Geia sou! :)

I would hire a tutor. You get more one-on-one time that way.
