Perhaps once there was no religion and perhaps this is how human mind has evolved into realising higher realities of life – from out of flat and more mundane facts all around us. The mind learns by comparisons and contrasts, and it develops intellectual through conflicts of intellect. We find easier to know about things by asking questions, and when there is a question then there bound to be answers. Which makes all that we see and find all the more relevant and interesting. We just need to have faith and stay put in the middle of all this - say what we like to say just so decently and powerful that it is heard.

But it is important to note that some people believe in religions whereas others believe in not believing in any religion. They simply would not go away to mind their own business. They must stay and deny, for this is what they are good at. This is like loving someone but concealing your love in hatred. But his is good that here they are all included, all the sceptics, intellectuals and pseudo-intellectual, philosophers, writer, thinker, lover, timewasters and professors, all. They all dig. :)

If you stand before another and pretend to know about a God.
Having read of it and heard what others have said.
People can hold there beliefs quietly.
The dig is not at religion, which no one knows its real meaning, but at the mindless following and the arrogance.
If you think you are religious in some sense then at least live it quietly then if there is substance in your words it will be evident.

People are suddenly attacking religion as a way of getting the topic round to Islam (that terrible religion that teaches all its people to be killers and assassins). More like if Muslims didn't exist who would they have a dig at.Obviously Muslims do bad things, especially recently with the sucide bombings but Muslims weren't responsible for the World Wars and the Holocaust and many other terrible events, people in general are bad, not certains races and religions etc.

The civilised west is under attack from the cancer of islam.
We have the right to defend ouselves from those who would enslave us and deny us our rights and freedoms.
The internet is one of the last bastions of free speech, although yahoo answers is heavily censored.
Many people would say that if we had a forum to air our differences then war would be less likely, then immediately , many of the same people complainabout the content of these forums.

People ask certain questions about religion and belief so as to provoke an emotional response.
They want it , they get it.
Its not so bad, anything that may offend.dont read it and move on.

The human race seems inclined to verbally or physically attack others for some reason: maybe their victims have a different religion, diferent nationality, different social ability, different skin colour, different physical ability, different educational status. It seems unfortunately that the "weaker" ones will always be attacked by the "stronger" ones - unles, that is, someone with enough power and good motive steps in to finish it completely, standing for sake of "weaker" ones.

No amount of digging questions or pious answers is going to make anyone change their minds. Don't worry about it.
