The reason we are in Iraq is to free the Iraqi people and allow them to govern themselves. There are not sufficient skilled people in Iraq to get that nations infra-structure up and running. Security is a primary concern but getting Iraq functional is absolutely necessary. Contractors are brought in by the Iraqi government to accomplish this.

I DO THINK CONTRACTORS SHOULD BE IN IRAQ.
We do alot of jobs the military is too short handed to man.We are here to support our military, country and war effort.Just because you watched the news and saw a story about four contractors being kidnapped that means we should all leave huh?We are not the bad guys.I guess I should've been happy on the 130 dollars a week I was getting on unemployment after being laid off for the winter. This is the best job I've ever had,and I get great pay to do it.A good 90% of contractors are ex-military,so they are more familiar with military operating procedures than you think.I myself being a former Marine.
From my experience, people who complain about us being here are jealous they don't have the intestinal fortitude to come here them selves. So they'd rather whine about it.So in short,I really don't care if you or anyone else wants us here. It's not like Iraq is the first war that contractors have worked in.
And learn how to spell contractors.

they are mercs - they know the risk. make sure you do a good rearguard action if you leave - since they dont want us democracy then tack nuke all thier cities and the powerbases like cairo and tehran. Don't let the arabs think they have won in any way. They think that they won after suez and the yom kippur war. You have to totally crush them completely and utterly

i think they are extremely overpaid. They should just have the military do it instead of paying those people large sums of money" because its dangerous" that's bull crap to pay someone that kind of money. What about us the troops who are in harms way all the time, and we get paid squat.

If they want to go to Iraq they can. If anything they keep the pressure off the troops.
