I don't think you have enough information to make a call of "he likes me" based only on that.

Look at it like this, every thing ether tastes like smells like or looks like chicken.
I am not trying to imply that he doesn't like you, he probably does, but saying he smells like chicken, probably not a way of saying he like you.
