I'd choose the dogs! You have only known this guy for a month and now he's telling you to get rid of pets? Whats next your Mom? If he doesnt like the dogs then put them out or in an other room when hes there but I wouldnt get rid of them until you have been together a lot longer than this.

Love - One month
Dogs - 8 years
Ummm ... well I guess that depends on where the dogs are going ... if a close friend or family member can take care of them and you get to visit all the time I'd be just fine with that one ... but if you have to get rid of them completely ... it would be very hard ... the love of your pets never fades ... they love you no matter what ... I'd feel like I was abandoning them ... but to me there still just pets ... it's the human the man that you will have to live with & will compleat you in every asspect ... I don't know the exact circumstances but whatever it is you choose I hope you it all works out in the end ... good luck ... !

Um being a dog person I'd say the dogs, if they love you they will always love you and be happy when you get home and never ever hate you for anything you do, for the most part your dogs are the truest friends you will ever have. If this person has given you an ultimatum to get rid of the dogs or he goes I say let him go

U are not giving us enough info. If my guess is right, ur guy wants u to choose btw him and ur dogs. Well, i love dogs. I wouldn´t easily give my dog up just like that. He has to understand that i have a connection to it and then we´ll look for a compromise. Its just the beginning of the relationship and how long it will last depends on how u solve the problem at hand. One person cannot always have his or her way.

Fear is sometimes a problem that is unfixable. This man may not be able to control his fear of your dogs.
If it is a possibility, I would have a relative or close friend watch them for a while, and see if you actually do love him long enough down the road to make that kind of decision.
And maybe, he could learn to control his fear. Phobias can be very damaging to the psyche. If it is a terrible phobia, maybe he should look into working on it with a professional.
I had to get rid of my snake that I have had for 5 years for certain reasons. The snake now stays with a friend who promised to keep his name and return him to me in the event that I could have him.
But, also, on a more emotional note: Do what your heart tells you to, but only if your head agrees.

Depends on the guy. He could be for a lifetime, and the dogs will probably be gone in another 4 years. But I would be very suspicious of a guy that would force you into that choice.

Dogs!! If this guy really loves you back, make sure he's totally committed before even thinking about giving up your pooches. It's a tough decision. My husband and I dated for 4 years before we got engaged/married. He was allergic to my cat and he couldn't take certain allergy meds , so I had to give up my cat. It was really really sad and I still think about it sometimes. So, at least wait for a ring before you give up the dogs...

DOGS!! anyone who i have only known for a month [and im guessin] is in some way making you choose between them would not be worth me abandoning my dogs. you may think you love him but you and him will get over it[i know it may hurt im really sorry] but your dogs will never get over it. once you dump dogs they think noone will ever love them again and it takes years to regain their trust in humanity. your decision. i hope you make the right one ( :

Keep the dogs. If he likes/loves you enough he wouldn't have a hproblem with them. At least you know they will be faithful.
