it shouldnt do but unfortunately some people judge others by what they have, or look like

The best line to go by... is don't judge a book by its cover....the most interesting ones are the ones that have plain covers.

Respect? No, certainly not. It does however earn you a good amount of false friends and a good deal of envy and jealousy.

Often, people think that rich people don't have any problems, but this is often one of the biggest , false friends and envy.

I consider myself lucky as I don't have a lot of money, but I certainly have a lot of real friends.

The rich are often forced into isolation because there are so many people who are after their money and nothing more. They may never have the chance to know what having a true friend is like.

Peace.

I have never respected someone for what they had as far as material things. I respect people for who they are.

I don't believe it would be called respect. They may like you for "what" you have and not "who" you are. Respect is something you earn, you can't buy it. Respect your self more don't let people treat you different because of what you do have or don't have.
