I would suggest that you go to an Army surplus store and pick out something from someone famous who also started in ROTC. A photograph, orders for a promotion, but you'll need to get confirmation that this famous person was in fact in ROTC, perhaps a yearbook picture or something similar. Anyway, you sound like a couple of great kids and I hope your relationship lasts a lifetime.

Why not get him a stuffed animal from build-a-bear? They have little military teddy bears and you can also record your own voice with the build-a-sound feature. It'll let you record a 10 second message so you can say something like "congrats baby I'm so proud of you!" or something like that.

I don't know what it is that you want to get your boyfriend that your parents don't approve of but as long as it's legal, isn't going to hurt anyone, and not obscenely expensive then you should get it for him. Good luck!

Get him a teddy bear with a recording of your voice saying 'Congrants'.

Food is always good. Make him something to eat, like brownies or cookies.
