There is this guy. I had a crush on him earlier for 6yrs. Then it became infatuation. Now I love him. He recently asked me out. Yesterday during one of our heart to heart talks he told me that he smokes.

I have always hated smoking and those who do it. I am trying to get my grandpa off it. So should I leave him or stay with him and change my views on the matter? He said he likes what he is doing and dosen't plan to stop. I still haven't asked him to and do somehing drastic like ask him to stop on a promise on me. He loves me too.

What should I do?

He does it in hidden. But I appreciate that he told it to me himself.

We were very shy around each other. Then he started being the pefect gentleman to me. He is very nice in all other ways. He is very decent and is civilised unlike other guys.

1st don't change your perspective on smokers just try to look over it for a time because if he loves you and you love him (and he's not a compulsive smoker (he does it hidden)) you can ask him to stop that later in the relationship. and if he does'nt do it in front of you that means he's aware you're not happy with that. just enjoy the moment...

I think if you make him stop he WILL resent you for it, that is something that you have to do because you want to.......I can applaud and appreciate the fact that you have made the decision in life not to smoke but I think you'll realize one day that there are a lot more important things to worry about other than whether people choose to smoke or not!

Get over it or move on . Plain and simple .Have him smoke outside so he doesn't smell the place up . You won't even notice after awhile ! Not a big deal ! You won't make him quit he has to on his own .

If you really love him, then get over it. He's not gonna stop coz you say to, and if you really want him, you better learn to bend those rules a bit. For that matter, sounds like you need to learn to adapt, anyway.

One of the key things in a relasionship is honesty, and without it relasionships tend not to work.

Why not talk about how you feel about it to him, and agree with a compromise agreement...after all it takes two to tango! x

You sound very petty and you would be doing him a big favor by not going out with him. He doesn't need anyone that thinks she's perfect.

You can compromise and have him not smoke around you, but if you know so little about him, exactly what is it you love? Don't answer us, answer it for yourself.

You are a woman. Do what all women do. Make his life totally suck until he gives in and does what you want.
