It's usually the left. I think Greek Orthodox wear it on the right.

well there is no special rule about that, it really depends on what you feel comfortable with, we will getting married next year and had the very same problem, in Germany where we come from and live (at least in the moment) people wear them at the ring finger of the right hand, we like the idea of wearing them on the left hand's ring finger as we love the point of having it close to our hearts where our love originates from, but as there is no rule, it's your choice, you do not have to do it like everyody, just pick your favourite side

The left hand, ring finger. That was started because it was believed years ago that since it has a certain vein in there,if you wear a ring on that finger it will make it closer to your heart. Or something like that.

The majority of people wear them on the left hand. My husband is from Eastern Europe, so asked me to wear them on the right, because that is their tradition, so I do.

Typically in America hetero couples wear their rings on the left hand. In Europe I believe it varies.
