I don't know if I understand you question. When you grip the club the left hand is at the top of the grip.

technically the left hand should reach the ball first although the hands will reach simultaneously if interlocked. You want to still be on the last part of the downward motion of your swing just before the bottom apex when you strike the ball, meaning the left hand will reach the plane of the ball first. If you are trying to put a major draw and your right hand comes counterclockwise over the top you MIGHT have your right hand come through first.

The left. If you're right handed and your right hand is coming to the ball first then your not holding the angle in your wrist long enough and your club face will most likely be closed at impact. Your left arm and club should make a straight line at impact.

Left hand. The left hand is on your left, the right on your right. You need to think of it like hitting a baseball.

well it really depends what trajectory of a shot you want to hit...

like everybody said left... that would mean that the hands are in front of the ball and that you are more like likely than not hitting down on the ball

however...if you want to hit a low ball...you will have a much flatter arc in your swing plane meaning that at impact your hands should be in the same position as at setup
