Looking for originator of quote that goes something like "by the time I'd died I'd died a thousand times." (possibly a paraphrase.) Is it Shakspeare?

All I could think of was "Leaves of Grass" by Walt Whitman. The quote goes, "And as to you Life I reckon you are the leavings of many deaths, (No doubt I have died myself ten thousand times before.) "

The first edition of Leaves of Grass was published on July 4, 1855 in Brooklyn, New York
