If they were intentional they would not be called accidents. Your perception may be that it was intentional, but often people run red lights without realizing the light is red, or back up without realizing people are behind them.
Bitter, party of one, your table is now available!

The first incident you descripted is called "a scoop and squat". Legally its known as fraud. People cause a low speed collision, where there is a less likely hood they will actually be hurt, then claim injuries as a result of the crash.
The second just sounds like an idiot.
In either case, it wouldn't matter as to who filed first. However, it may be cheaper for your insurance to settle the claim. They would need to hire a traffic crash reconstructionist, at $100.00 to $350.00 (on the low end) an hour. 30 hours to reconstruct the collision, time for pre-trail depositions and time testifying in court, do the math.

It doesn't matter who files first Backing up not watching causing damage front driver at fault. When ever there is damage insist that police investigate and file accident report. If they're shady characters they won't want the police running license plates drivers licenses ind checking insurance cards. This is why we have good insurance. Hopefully my insurance will check the driving records of those scoundrels if I have a wreck. Squat and stop car in front and another pulls along side front car stops crash results and front cars occupants clam neck injury's.

This is really a low thing to do. I understand that it is big cost to the insurance companies and it reflects in higher premiums for all of us. It makes u afraid to go on the road sometimes.
I personally feel that a lot of accidents happen intentionally and people get away with it and never know what happened, seems like it is pretty hard to prove. Hope ur parents weren't hurt.

I have a hard time beliving that they were hit intentionally. If both accidents were caused by other people then they get nothing, their insurace will pay for damages to your parents car. If the police were called they would have gotten a ticket. People don't just get the impulse to hit expensive cars.

Look up the definition of accident. If they were done intentionally, they would be called "On purposes"
It doesn't matter who files first, what matters is who is at fault according to the police report. If you aren't at fault, no worries. And no one can get 'rich' on auto accidents. You just get reimbursed what you are out.

They somehow got pissed off and they wanted to prove a point. It sounds like they did already.
