let me clarify this by saying that the drug test was failed almost 4 years ago, and i am getting out honorably; so there is no need to answer this question in regards to a dishonorable discharge.

I got out in 1998. The answer then was no. If you got popped on a UA you had a few chances to still gain an honorable discharge.

If you didn't straighten up you received a General Discharge or Discharge Other Than Honorable. The specifics were not point on any discharge documentation that is made public though...you would just have to explain why.

Doubt it. They don't have a reason to see your record, just your discharge papers. Unless you work for the government. Then they may look through your record.

I doubt it as most employers contract with a private company to screen people for drugs and do instant urinalysis.

If you are honorable then I would say no. It did not affect your service so it should not affect your civilian life.
