Generally we use the term of "going potty" or "going to the bathroom" regardless if it is urination or bowel movement when speaking in public or when we need our company manners. When a specific term is required, we start with pee-pee and poo-poo and that eventually is shortened to pee and poop as they get older. I have been a home daycare provider for 20 years and have had a large range of terms parents used in potty training. BM is a common word for bowel movement. Pee is used most often for urinate, but some kids do say "I have to make urine". I have been a mom for 27 years and my kids all were trained with the words pee-pee and poo-poo. By school age, we didn't have to know all the details and for them to say I have to go to the bathroom was adequate information for them to share.

"urinate" isn't always an easy word for children, most use "pee pee" or "tinkle", BM or poopy is most common for a bowel movement.
