Does anyone know what the highest score has been in a professional match - i know that the highest break is 147 but given fouls and misses it would be possible for a higher score to be achieved - and i just wondered if it had ever happened and in what tornament did it happen

The highest I've seen in a professional match, was 153...it involved Kirk Stephens, who, after a foul had been commited on the pink, scored a 147

I heard of a 155 being scored in a non championship match ( following a foul and a free ball - extra red and black potted before a 147 clearance)
No idea when or where though

162

On break, first player pots the black, (foul 7), leaving the white in a position for the ref to award a free ball. Free ball taken (effectively an extra red [1]). After a red, a colour is potted, (black 7). This gives a total of 15, before a regular ball is potted.

15+147= 162

155, if a player fouls on the break you get 8 if he misses the pack and hits black points plus the 147 break
