An amazing product I've tried is Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. For everyday it gets rid of oil and for zits, if you leave it on it dries them out quickly and effectively.
One of the reasons your skin might be getting so oily is because you're trying to hard to strip it completely. You've probably heard this before but it really is good advice: use a very lightweight moisturizer. (Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer for combination skin is good) and dust your face with a powder that has cornstarch in it (CornSilk is one)
One thing to avoid, too, is pressed powder; it has extra oils in it to keep it stuck together and can lead to further breakouts. Also, the puff is a breeding ground for bacteria.

Wash your face twice daily, very hot water can remove the natural oil from your skin. If you wash in warm to cool water, your skin will stay healthier and feel more comfortable. Use an oil free moisturizer on your face for oily skin. Also use a powder to help keep the shine down.
Drink lots of water!

I worked in a derm office, and here is what she would tell her patients.
#1 DO NOT POKE AT YOUR ZITS. It can leave a scar.
#2 wash your face morning and night. Especially at night since your pores open at night and can easily take in bacteria.
#3 DO USE A MOISTURIZER!! It is just a matter of finding the right one for you. A lot of the neutrogena or aveeno ones are good. Try to find one with a hydroxy acid. That helps with acne and builds collagen. Also, if you can find one that contains vitamin c helps. Vit c is helps to build new cells.
#4 USE SUNBLOCK. Again find one that works best for you (neutrogena and aveen are great).
Last, DO NOT exfoliate more than 1x a week.

Try using a mild cleanser like Cetaphil or Phisoderm. They are dermatologist recommended. Wash you face twice a day. If you wash it more than that, you will cause your skin to produce more oil. Drink plenty of fluids. Dab your skin instead of rubbing it with a towel also. Rubbing it may spread bacteria. Good luck. My cousin has the same skin problem. She uses Aveeda makeup for oily skin.

Get enough sleep and keep your hands away from your face. If you touch your face a lot, you're introducing bacteria which causes breakouts. Try washing your face more often and make sure the products you use are for oily skin.

don't "moisturize moisturize moisturize" if you have oily skin. If you have dark oily skin then you have natural sun protection built in so you should use a light spf 15-30 to prevent sun damage/darkening of scars if you have any....
drinking lots of water? doesn't really do much for skin unless you are seriously dehydrated, same with changing your diet unless you rub your food all over your face while eating.

The reason your skin is producing oil is lack of moisture!!! You need to find a good moisturizer and you will find it helps. I love Principal Secret. She has a botanical line for people under 35. I had china doll skin when using her product. She is online and sells through QVC.
