As long as it's still very cold to the touch (as it would be if it were in the fridge) it should be fine. If it's even CLOSE to room temp, definitely not! But if it was frozen last night... it's probably still mostly frozen and should be fine.

It should be fine, make sure you cook it well. It's not a matter of maximum heat but making sure it gets cooked right through. If you have a meat thermometer, stick it into the breast deep and make sure it gets to at least 70c. Also don't stuff the turkey, that way the cavity, where most of the bad stuff can be, is fully cooked. It's best to cover the breast and basted it while cooking or it will be dry.

I don't think it is b/c when i was in culinary arts 2 years ago our teacher told us that u shouldn't leave anything that u are trying to defrost out b/c u have a greater chance of it becoming affective with salmonella or some other thing. He said that to defrost it put it in the refridgerator for 24 hours and then take it out and cook it. So if i was u i wouldn't cook it unless u want to get sick.

You have to thaw it some way or the other.

When you totally and completely cook meat, it is essentially safe to eat.

Even if bacterial activity were present, and botulism were involved, proper cooking essentially makes it safe.

Now if you are a Russian spy, and someone puts a chemical poison on it, all bets are off...But I doubt that is your case
If meat is in the last stages of decomposition, it may not smell good or taste very good, but it can be 'safe' after proper cooking

While food safety rules will tell you no, that sucker is probably still rock hard frozen. Put it in the fridge to defrost the rest of the way. I'd eat it.

I have taken a food safety class & found out that after two hours food left out can go bad. I would not take a chance.

I think so. Its probably not even thawed all the way yet. Just stick it in the fridge until youre ready to cook it.

It will be OK but I would put it in the fridge to continue to thaw out for Thanksgiving.
