Contact your county's department of social services. They will get you seen by mental health services if you are low income.

Some private therapists also will do a sliding rate fee, which may get you in quicker than the county mental health clinic. Do you have insurance? Some of them will just accept what the insurance is willing to pay, so you don't have to come up w/ the copay. You may also want to talk to your dr. or the school counselor or school social worker. They will be able to help you, too. Good luck!

Contact your county mental health department/ clinic. You should be able to find it in the phone book (white pages) under " *your county's name* mental health." They have a sliding scale fee and if you have little or no income, you can pay as little as $1 per visit.
(I'm in NY too. )

This is a very good blog, a beginner’s guide to abnormal psychology.
Short, clear and simple; and you can even post your question and contact the author regarding particular subject you are interested in, for FREE
