A lot of men don't find it hard to open up emotionally, they don't want to open up or be caught out !You only have to look at men watching a horse race or football match to see how they can open up with their emotions or listen to them in the pub with their mates, then they can be very vocal and expressive !
As a man I detest the way many men treat women by lying and cheating, men will say whatever it is they think the woman wants to hear and then use the old "men are different","men can't show their emotions the same as women" lines to prevent them from having to explain their actions.
I for one wish that women knew exactly what men are like and that we had a society where by everyone is held accountable for their actions !
So men can show their emotions if they wish to do so !
Good luck.

i think for the most part it is hard for a guy to open up emotionally. They dont want to feel the rejection if there feelings r not reciprocated. It also makes them vunerable and it will affect there ego as a man. in simple terms they dont want to look like a p u s s y.

Yes I do, but that could be the upbringing I had, I find those 3 little words very difficult to say. When I do I feel it doesn't sound like I mean them. At times I've said them and not put any effort to it so it all looks a bit false.

Funnily enough I can chat to friends about my feels but not my partner(s).

Yes I do. The reason has been that in the past women have said they want me to open up emotionally and then when I do I find:

A> they really didn't want that in the first place, or
B>They use it against me when they are angry.

Yes. The less people now how i feel, the less people come up to my with false sympathy, trying to make themselves look good. I find it easier to deal with problems and get over things if i keep them to myself. I am able to be open with my closest male friend and my girlfriend, but thats only if we've been together for at least 2 months and i feel i can trust her 100%.

No. I am very down to earth and I have no problems opening up to someone or expressing my feelings. Unfortunately a lot of men believe this to be a BAD thing or a sign of weekness. Unfortunately, hiding your feelings or not "opening up" can be a great strain on a relationship.

Hell yea i fink most of us blokes struggle to admit we even have emotions let alone open up about them!!! Its in our genes its jus not manly to open up and sh*t so we dont!!! Male pride plays apart plus showing emotions can be seen as a sign of weakness no man likes showing that, that dates back rto the stone age so i doubt a change is on the horizon!!!

hard to answer, i find it hard to get emotional i can't speak for all males. i think i don't want to bring other people down if i have problems, i have no friends and it hurts like hell sometimes but i keep it to myself. luckily i have my fiance who i can talk to. i've learnt through the years not to give too much away about myself as self protection. i've known the hard way if something can upset me then others would use it against me

I'm not too much of an emotional person. Don't get discouraged if some guy doesn't want to cry on your shoulder and don't think they are heartless because they can't be shocked. It's just a logical vs. emotional approach to things.
