so.. Thanksgiving is almost here - but Christmas had already reared it's
commercial head many weeks ago. Thanksgiving is now just melting into the
cheap fabric of Christmas and becoming one big smorgasborg of shopping,
eating, and working working working(to pay for more shopping and eating why of course!)

I love certain things ABOUT Christmas and at the last minute, I always
get a little into the "spirit"...but it just seems like Christmas is now
this huge money hungry monster wrapped in tinsel and priced to sell.
It seems as though the real meaning has been drown in a pool of ribbons and
wrappings, receipts and tape.

OMG! I feel the same way! People are so mean at Christmas and it's so much of a hassle. Its nothing but extra work for me to drag the stupid tree down decorate, buy dumb presents for people I can't afford to buy for, and send all those cards out, geez. Now that my kids don't believe in Santa any fun I did have is completely gone. I look forward to New Years so I can have one drink to many and forget about the Holidays and start over even if it is with a hang over. By the way Merry freaking Christmas.

attempt counting you advantages after which you will not experience so unhappy. think of of all the failings you have to be grateful for. At church final Sunday, there exchange right into a guy on the front row that modify into DEAF and BLIND. Makes my BahHumbug's look quite small!

I totally agree and when you try to say this to people they get mad AT YOU for being such a Scrooge. Why should they be allowed to force their type of christmas on us? Where are our rights?

Everything has been commericialized. Add Easter, to your list too, and Independence Day. Name any holiday and it's been commericialized. We're all about money these days, spending and making it...
