I've never took the birth control pill --- I would probably forget it. Plus there's chances you would get pregnant (So I have heard!) even if you were taking it. Now the needle is much simple, I believe. Once every three months. Yes, you will forget it once in a while but there's a chance you can start your period again. I was on it for three straight weeks and have missed two. I'm going to a hospital to check it out.

I use the pill. If you remember to brush your teeth every day, just put the pills in the same place as your toothbrush stuff, and you will remember. I was on the Depo shot for a year, and my periods were so whacked out. Some months I would have it for over 15 days, and others very little. I have two kids, both after being on the pill. Never got pregnant till I went off of it, though, so it is really very effective.

Tak to your doc. about the ring it is safer than the shot and you don't have to worry you do have to go in once a month though. I was on the pill when I got preg. for my little girl, then I trie the patch for about 6 months it kept falling off I started the shot and just recently got off it after 4 years I really liked the shot until I quit taking it I started having a lot of problems from what I am reading everyone else is too. good luck.

i would recommend the pill yes it's more of an inconvenience to remember to take it everyday but I'm sure once you get use to it it will be easier to remember if the pill is taken correctly it's 99% effective nothing is 100% the shot makes you gain weight have mood swings and just has worse side effects then the pill...anything you take is going to have side effects compare the pros and cons of both the shot and the pill and decide which one you feel is best for you

Whatever you do ...homework the Depo shot. I was on it for 2 cycles and found out that it stopped my body from ovulating all together. I had to take fertility drugd to get pregnant. I also had an allergic reaction to a medication that I took while on the shot...and couldn't do anything about it till the shot wore off.

Taking any birth control pills is a risk. you just have to read about the side effects sometimes one thing is better than 5 or 6 things

DON'T GET THE DEPO SHOT!!!! You will regret it. Many women have had problems...myself and my ex-roommate included. My husband worked with a guy who ended up divorced because his wife became pscycotic on the shot. My ex-roommate gained 60 pounds and had behavior problems with the shot. I gained 30 pounds and had problems getting pregnant after coming off of it and when my periods started back up after coming off I bled for 20 days straight.

It is much easier to forget the pill everyday. I would go with the shot, if you have a bad memory.
