I am taking SERC for my bout of vertigo which has arisen again for about 5 days. It usually goes away after i take the medicine but it's being persisitant right now. Maybe i just need support to get through this because i don't have any help when i need to get out to get food, or do mailings to disability to keep my income coming in. Is there any hope for this?

Find out why you are having it. Demend testing not just medicine to treat the symtoms. My doctor gave me an ENG and a tilt table test. There are also other medicines like transdermal scopolamine that works well, its a patch for the back of the ear and it stays on for 3 days. Also the meclizine works too. If its a problem in your inner ear there are surgical options to fix the problem if it gets so bad that you can't function. If you aren't satisfied with the treatment that you are getting from your doctor then see another doctor because you need to find out what is causing the problem.

Good luck!

Vertigo is due to inner ear involvement. You should see an ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist), who can establish the cause. He/she may refer you to an audiologist who specializes in balance problems.
Most cities have senior services staffed by volunteers who shop for the elderly or disabled, provide transportation to medical appointments, etc.

First of all,
A vertigo is a type of fainting spell, if your vetigo or fainting spell is still causing problems or if the meds are not working see your doctor.

I have heard of people that have vertigo also have moth balls or are exposed to them for a period of time. If you use them please throw them out and air out your house. It will take up to 2 weeks before it is out of your system. I hope this helps you.
