doubters? What are you talking about? That is talking about how they are planning to eventally get the troops out of Iraq. Quit with the whole draft thing. Its not going to happen anytime soon!

Dumb ***....we have more troops! You don't know too much about our military do you? You are just scared of the posibility of having to fight for our country. THIS DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE HAVING A DRAFT!!!!!!!!

Sorry that has nothing to do with the draft.. they are talking about putting more troops over there... we have many troops here that are not over there.. including reserve... so no.. it has nothing to do with the draft.. sorry

I think the idea of a draft is horrible. Everyone is complaining about the number of our men and women in uniform in Iraq and this guy wants to send more?!? Also draftees make bad soldiers. I honestly don't think this country would let it happen, with its current state of mind. I know I don't support it.

To repeat: the US military does not want a draft, even if you do. It's counterproductive.

Write to Charlie Rangel and let him know of your support, and I'm sure he'll keep fighting for a draft.

Good luck.

OMG.....do you seriously think the 100,000 trps in Iraq is all America has??? Do yourself a favor. Go to this site and the others I posted. You it will show you where they will come from.

Thanks

1st link shows Coalition #'s...America not only country supporting this war.

2nd::It is old but you will get Idea of troop rotation

So, By, sending troops back early and extending the rotation time-frame we can bolster our troop count.

So, please, before you post stuff like this. Leave it to us armchair military buffs(AKA...Veterans of War) to hash this out.

Thanks

This means we either pullout, send more of the volunteers we already have, or reduce the number that are there, but they stay in longer. That's all, no mention of a draft there. Sorry, but you can't get all dramatic on us today.

It's merely political posturing.

Military recruiters are meeting their goals to get recruits. The services are manned to the manning-points set by Congress. If we need more people in the military, Congress should raise the manning requirements and see if recruiters are able to meet the challenge.

THAT MAY NOT HAVE TO DO WITH THE DRAFT BUT THIS DOES

Quickest way to end the war, start a draft, people will then take to the streets. lets stop this George Bush nonsense.
