well this is really vague... im 22 and my parents are in a divorce and my mom may have nowhere to turn. I want to be a good son and she doesnt want to burden my life.. but after all she took care of me for 18years.. I be damned to let dad manipulate her anymore...
I live in MY house and I have a good job. why should i care what people think about my mom living with me untill she can spring back from her divorce.
I would say it really depends on the situation. Some people just dont have their act together and some do. Find out the real reason and who is living with who.
On a side note I feel that each situation is different, but once you reach early to mid 20's you need to be more self reliant.
ugh nothings more annoying than some guy who lives in his Moms house and jerks around all day at 25+ get a job a life and start being responsible.

It's a cultural thing actually. In Hispanic cultures, it's not uncommon to live at home until marriage, which nowadays is later in life (30s for example)

I think a guy should leave home anywhere in his 20s - whenever is most convenient for him and his mother/parents.
If he's had to return home due to some kind of 'failure' (such as divorce or bankrupcy), he should have longer...

When you get married - move out but if you don't get married then you should cut the umbilical cord by the time you are 25 the latest.
