I have this guy friend who, whenever I see him, hugs me and kisses me on the head - usually the side of my head - not the top (and he's a good 8-10 inches taller than me) and not my cheek. I'm sure it's just an affection thing, but is there something more to it that maybe I am missing?
Thanks!

Being someone who has done that, it is an affection thing, but it also shows that he wants to kiss you on the lips he may just be afraid. Whether afraid because you are with someone else or afraid of making a "move of no return" unknown. If he is someone that you think could be special, when he does it next time turn your head toward his and give him one back, when that happens look at his eyes, you will more than likely get the "awkward stare" as one of my old flames used to call it. The look that each of us gave just before we hooked up, the look where everything seemed to get dark and all you could see was each other. That is in fact how she and I started our relationship. But if he is not someone that you could see kissing, then dont, but do know that he WOULD like to kiss you and be gentle with his feelings

It's just his way of showing his respect and admiration for you. I do the same thing to my wife, and many of her girlfriends, my nieces, etc. For a taller guy, it's just easier than bending over to kiss a girl on the cheek. As I have gotten older, I have increasing problems with my lower back. So, I tend to be a bit lazy like that.

I've never intended for it to convey anything more than my respect and admiration for a girl. But if you think it might in your situation, you might as your friend. Or, if you would like for it to mean more, take the initiative. When he leans over to kiss your head, turn and kiss him back. Flirt with him and let him know that that you are open to the possibility of it being more. If it is meant to me, it will work out.

Best of luck!

firends don't kiss unless he's a kissing buddy. Hey, I got this guy that when I hug hello , the way he hugs is sort of different, his hands seem intimate but aren't and he would always have a secret smile, so it depends, do you have anything for the guy

It's just a sign of affection...and that he's somewhat taller than you. I kiss my GF on the head very often, it's just the easiest spot to get to. When we're in bed, getting ready to sleep, she often kisses me between my shoulder blades, just coz thats where she can reach easily.

I don't know his specific reason for doing that, but enjoy it and take it VERY good..... a sweet kiss on the head is one of me most sincere and sweet gestures any man can make!!!! ;)
