Technically yes. Realistically no. However, if you rub your butt and genitals around in someone else's fresh body excretions, you can get a disease. Usually, the bacteria/viruses in blood and excretions die off fairly fast once exposed to air, especially if the stuff is already crusty. You skin is an intact barrier and gives sufficient protection from unsanitary places. You would have to get direct contact with the genital region in order for this to happen, and the excretions would have to be fairly fresh.

Actually, studies have shown that one of the most unsanitary places in a bathroom is the bathroom door handle (next to the flush button, of course). It's full of bacteria found in urine and feces, and while it's not easy to get an infection from that, it's still gross. That's what you want to avoid touching after you washed your hands.

You do not need an open wound to contract a disease. Your anal cavity has a membrane coated with fluid. Your urethra also has the same. These are open entrances into the body and are thus capable of accepting diseases.

There are no proven cases of anyone catching a disease from a toilet seat but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It is factual that some diseases can stay on colder surfaces such as toilet seats for a short period of time. Therefore, if one person finishes using a toilet then another enters quickly after, there is potential.

I suppose if you don't wash your hands after using the toilet you run the risk of getting a feces borne disease - things like Hepatitis A, e coli, etc. It's not common at all though. Think of how many people each day use a public restroom, now how often have you heard of people getting sick from it? Not much, if at all.

STDs are not transmittable from toilet seats. HIV, Herpes & HPV die very quickly once they hit the air. Gonrrhea, Syphillis and Chlamydia are not found on the buttocks & the bacteria that causes them would not be found on a toilet seat.

Crabs do not "hang out" on toilet seats waiting for someone to sit down. Crabs like soft & warm - toilets seats are hard & cold. Plus, crabs are hanging tightly onto hairs & do not let go until they're dead or dying.

Actually yes, you can contract what is called "toilet disease", or Lurgy.Research what that means on google. Usually common for women to contract toilet disease because of their pelvic anatomy. Unlike men, women's anal area is relatively close to their genitalia area.
