Don't get too over excited, he may or may not propose so don't build all your hopes us, if he does then you will be very surprised. It does sound like a hint though.

Has this ring now temporarily disappeared? Not to get your hopes up or anything but he could have been trying to see what size your finger is so that he gets it right first time on the day as it will be a shame to pop the question and then you can't actually wear the ring for a week because the shops are shut and you can't get it made bigger/smaller.

Ooooh, how exciting! Do I need to buy a hat?

I don't think he is going to do that at Christmas. Why would he give you the heads up and not surprise you. I don't have a doubt that he'll ask you to marry him but I think he'll either ask you before or after Christmas. Most guys like to surprise the woman when they ask someone to marry them so for him to say "see what santa brings" is kind of iffy unless he's the type who doesn't like surprises.

how long have you been together? Is the guy so cheap that he could not finance a ring to put on your finger. yes, he is totally leading you on. He wants you to be SO HAPPY, but he is setting himself up for disaster.
what happens when he borrows another one of your rings and uses it in the marriage ceremony?
Yes, it was a romantic gesture that will drive you nuts till after christmas.
No matter what get it out of your head -because NOW YOU ARE WAITING EVERYDAY for him to 'do it' and pop the question.
good luck. just ask for some thing else for christmas... something really expensive (see if he gets you both)
*if so marry him, cause he'll be willing to get you what you want & need after you are married.

After you are married guys don't impress women, cause they already got you. impressing is for dating. Yeah, guys are and can be romantic after you are married... but that's only tapping you on the back once you have fallen asleep in bed and he wants you to make love to him.

He's definately going to propose to you at Xmas time. My boyfriend asked me last Xmas eve and we just got married in October - it was a perfect time to ask me and just the right length of time for an engagement (we are in the Southern hemisphere so warm in October) Good luck I really hope he does!!

Well there is a good chance that he might do it at Christmas or on New Years Eve. But don't build your hopes up just in case it doesn't happen. However the fact that he's considering it is nice and it will give you a warm feeling inside, however if it doesn't happen over the Christmas period just be happy knowing that he loves you and he wants to be with you

Just wait till X-mass and see, as every body else told you.. but don't put big hopes until then, don't dream and learn how to prevent your self of being hurt... It's very simple, just don't dream and expect . People nowadays are very unpredictable.
