Give her a budget amount and let her pick her own car. She may have specific things that she wants in the car so it should be her choice.

let her buy her own icar
im 17, i bought my car when i was 15
6grand outta my bank that ive been saving ALL MY LIFE
then earlyer this year my parents re embursed me with stock
so they can say they have authority when i can use my toyota celica and when i cant.

it was a genuis plan
i was supper pissed about the circumstances but it was smart

ok cars
no hondas,hundyias,kias,fords,
chevys are ok and so are hondas but hondas become junk cars over time especialy civics
toyotas are ok...no fantastic
buy a 4 cylinder car they are most gas frendly
i like volkswageons but replacement parts cost will make you cry unless you have alot of money to wate
pontiacs can get pricey
mazdas are nice (once japanez owned now american owned)
Mitsubishi turn out poor quality machines that need alot of maintance

so i sugest a toyota camry, celica, corolla xrs
volkswageon gti,passat,jetta
chevy colbalt
honda accord not civic!

In the US, cars are an extension of our personality. Let your daughter know you want to do this and set a price range that you are willing to cover. Let her pick out her own car. Remember, good cars are not cheap, cheap cars are not good.

You should let her buy her own car. Learn what living in the US is all about. Making your own way not having daddy buy her one.

I'd buy her a Jetta VW. These cars are strong, safe, great in gas, and reliable after 100K miles.
I'd not buy her any domestic car, they don't last.
