will i have to buy a separate caller display unit?

Caller display should show the number of the incoming call. Unless it is an international call or the caller with-holds there number. I think that the CLI system in UK is not the same as USA. Your telecom supplier will probably make a charge for the service.

Yes but you need caller display activated on your line. This is normally 2-3 pounds per month, BUT if you are with BT ask for "Privacy at home" service. It's FREE and includes caller display

Yes...But, you will have to contact your phone company to arrange caller display,, I think it may be free. Not sure though.

yes but bt will charge you on your monthly bill .a good idea though if you like to know who is calling.
