Being light headed will most likely be from from low blood pressure. If when you're sitting, you stand up only to get light headed, that's low blood pressure. Symptoms of high blood pressure: head and neck aches, irratability, reddness in the hands, feet and face. Your local drug store usually has a blood pressure machine that is free to use. Go see your doc, you don't want to have a stroke or a heart attack, especially with a new grand baby.

Generally, there aren't any symptoms. As the blood pressure gets higher, though, you can have ringing in the ears, vision changes and headaches. The best way to determine if you have high blood pressure is to have your blood pressure checked. You can go to your local Walgreen's or WalMart - what you're looking for is a blood pressure under 120/80. If it's higher than that, then you should sit quietly for about five minutes and try again. If it's still high, then you might want to get an appointment with the doctor and get yourself checked out. Good luck.
