Fruit (preferably something with a lot of fiber) if you mean a snack. Berries are great, but an apple is, too, if you're looking for something less expensive.

Aim for protein if you mean a meal. For dinner, I often make a nice Mediterranean salad with chicken, feta cheese, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, celery, red onions, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and fresh chopped oregano. YUM!

Protein girl!
Get a good protein powder and make up a big shake in the morning... you can have a bit poured over banana for breakfast, and take the rest in a bottle to have during day. Eat a portion of good quality protein every day like chicken/fish/eggs/tofu/beef, with some veggies and plenty of fruit. Its important to eat some complex carbs too... but go for rice or sweet potatoes over wheat-based cereals. Balance is the key- but i find i feel much less bloated if i focus more on protein. Good luck!

Getting bloated like that when you eat wheat can be a sign of celiac disease, or other gluten intolerances.

Take a look at this website put out by the National Institutes of Health about celiac.

If that starts ringing bells, here are a couple of message boards to visit for more information.

As far as filling foods, I like an apple with peanut butter. That usually fills me up and gives a bit of protein in the process.

I always find that a bowl of cereal fills me up for ages! It could be that your portion sizes are too large - bread, pasta, etc are the most starchy and filling foods you will find, so even quite small portions will leave you feeling full afterwards. Maybe try eating a small bowl of a whole grain cereal, like Shreddies or Weetabix. The more whole grain, the more filling the cereal is. Good luck.

Protein foods will fill you up better because they take longer to digest, also they keep you from getting hungry because they keep the blood sugar level steady. You get hungry from sweets and starch because they satisfy your appetite only for a short while because they make the sugar rise, but then it dips low and you get low blood sugar and it makes you want to eat again.
That is why the low carb diet works so good for a lot of people, I know it is controversial but I swear by it, I can never lose weight without being hungry with anyother diet.
Eat eggs, all meats, cheese, of course you have to eat fruits and veggies but protein will help this problem. You have to drink a lot of water also because it can make you constipated which will make your stomach look big.

well the only thing you left out was rice, that will fill you up but like pasta it releases energy slower than bread and potato, you may get the bloated feeling from eating too fast or/and eating too much. try changing either one of those things and you may notice a difference.

Vegetables. For that special dress eat a hearty homemade soup, minestrone is fabulous pack it with lots of celery, carrots peppers onions etc-----The results should be very pleasing----- homemade is important because manufactures will pack it with chemicals and cheap things like salt and will do little for you. Good Luck

Something with a high protein content - try some scrambled eggs or an omelette. If you like fish, try some salmon and veg or a prawn stir-fry.

MEAT!!!!!

You could try only eating wholdemeal versions of aforementioned foodstuff. They take longer to digest, release their energy more slowly and fill you up for longer. Try and balance a portion of protein with carbohydrate and make sure you eat plenty of veg.
