I have a bottle of amla oil, which i want to use. I was wondering if you put it on daily, or use it as an overnight treatment, or what? Does it promote hair growth? Also, I have no idea what type it is..it just says it is an indian hair oil etc etc, and its green. :P If anyone has any information that'd be great. Thanks

It is best to leave the Amla oil overnight. Massage the oil in your scalp gently in circular motion with your fingers and then wash it the next morning. Your hair will become shiny the next day :) You can use it everyday, if you want...but it is not needed. I would use it twice a week (or more if your hair is damaged).

You may want to cover the pillow you sleep on with some towel (as the pillow may get sticky/oily).

Also, for intensive treatment, you can massage the oil in your scalp and then cover your hair with a steaming towel for about half an hour. Then wash it off!

Enjoy your beauty treatment....trust me, you will receive many compliments on your hair :)

If it's an amla oil, it's going to be terribly STICKY. So, don't even think of leaving it on. Use it as an overnight treatment once or twice a week. Amla is said to be good for hair. I don't know about growth, but it's got some darkening properties. What's the base oil? Almond or something? Anyway, hope this helps.

The alma oil I had was used before shampooing.
It doesn't 'officially' help hair growth, however anything thats massaged into your scalp can possibly help as many people say massaging the head can help grow hair quicker and healthier (no idea if this is true or not but it could be why many people believe Alma Oil helps hair growth). Alma is high in vitamin C so it could help your hair look and feel healthier which in turn could result in less split ends and damage so in fact it would help you hair appear longer as less ends needing cut (if that makes sense) lol :)
