When she offers her opinions and advice, just smile politely, thank her for her views, then tell her you want to try things your own way. If she persists after you've said "Thanks, but no thanks" then remind her that it's your baby, not hers, and you would like to raise him/her your own way. Don't be rude since you have to live with her, but make sure you stand your ground and get your point across. Don't let her bully you, but try to keep an open mind to what she has to say. You never know what may come in handy one day.
Don't let her get to you. All new mothers go through this with people they know (and even strangers on the street) who think that their advice is wanted, and offer it without asking if any help is needed.

What is the nature of your relationship with the lady you are living with? I agree with what is being said above; she is likely looking out for your best interests and that of your baby.

If this woman is responsible for placing a roof over your head and food on your table, I suspect she is anticipating assuming a similar responsibility with your child. Maybe she will be able to help you in developing a plan to gain the independance you need to ensure you can make decisions on your own without her help.

If you are capable of raising a child with all it's responsibities, then take what she is saying with a grain of salt and back up your belief by proving to her that you can raise a healthy & happy child. Be thankful that you have the support of another adult as you venture into parenthood!

Did you ever think that she is trying to help you. What you can do is move out but it sounds like you are not very mature and you could use the support. Why not joint a parenting group and find out how to raise a happy healthy child on your own and then you will know whether her advice is right or wrong.

First of all, you need to tell her that this is YOUR child! But in a nice tone.

TELL HER TO STOP! Easy.
First try saying "Thanks for the advice, but I can handle it."
If she doesn't get the point and keeps talking or does it again, be more blunt "Thanks but no thanks, I know what I'm doing."
If she still doesn't, try "This is my baby and I can handle this, can you please keep your comments to yourself?"
That should shut her up.
