Need more info is gas engine or diesel?
If gas engine, drain, clean everything and hope it runs fine after
If diesel, the fuel has higher pollutants due to it being offroad , high sulfur? which may cause problems in your exhaust. DOT can check big trucks for this at truck weighin and inspections, I believe fines are hefty.

Red diesel is for off road; heating and farm equipment. Don't let the DOT catch you using it on the road. Also you did not mention if the engine in the 550 is diesel or gas.

Not if it is a diesel motor. I would not feed it a steady diet of it because they claim the dye in the fuel can cause long term damage.

yes, it could harm the motor, bacteria could grow in the fuel system and clog injectors, filters, very costly to get the system cleaned at the dealership,,, i being a technition that has had to clean a truck fuel system.

only your wallet should you get caught....they put the red dye in to distinguish it from diesel that has the road taxes paid...red is for off road use only and the fines are very high...
