I have about $27,000 in bad debt and want to start paying it off. I don’t want a credit counseling program, I want a company that negotiates and settles debts for less then the balances are.

I heard that many are rip offs and don’t need any more problems. I have spoken to a few, debt settlement usa; which I have a really bad feeling about because the rep I spoke to lied to me more then once. And the other 3 companies were similar in their answers.
Also many of them are only sales people that have been harassing me to enroll. Dont want any more BS!

If anyone out there knows a good debt settlement program, please provide a link to the company so that I can find them.

Please only serious answers, I only want to hear from people who have experienced service with the company…..

Also please tell me if you have hired a company and had a bad experience...

I have used a company that did a good job. I had less debt then you and they were able to settle all of the accounts for less then 50%. One citybank account that was sent to nco financial was settled for 20%. link you asked for: http://www.expert-credit-advice.com/debt_settlement_service.htm You should also look up anyone you are considering at http://bbb.com . good luck.

Do it yourself. Contact each and make an offer. Tell them it is either this or chapter 7 bankruptcy. Get it in writing FIRST before sending any $$. Collection companies lie. Start with the smallest bill first then work your way up. to the largest. They will settle for some amount. When Counseling shows on your credit report, lenders see this as a chapter 13 BK in any case. Once the settlement is made the report should reflect paid for less than full balance.
Hope this helps. Paying someone else to do it for you is stupid in my opinion.

Based on that amount of debt if you could qualify for a debt settlement program i recommend http://www.fdnsolutions.com they really do their due dilligence to make sure that you can actually settle the accounts in question without that much negative side effects but each situation is a bit different and results may vary.

27k you would be looking at payments of 486 for 30 months approximately. total cost to you approximately $14,580. that would be the total amount you would need to pay back approximately.

you can call them or email them at the website. they are also members of USOBA and don't have any complaints anywhere.
