Jesus said, "When you are born of flesh, you are flesh. And when you are
born of spirit, you are spirit! Just like the wind blows, and you can hear it but not see it, and it goes where it wants to go!"
That describes no "Born Again" I know!
Don't get me wrong. If it gives you strength. MORE POWER TO IT!
But when will the church stop making a whole religion out of ONE verse? And
then shove it down our throats, like we HAVE to do it?
Don't they realize they turn more people away from God, than to Him that way?
Our spirits came from Heaven, and when we "die" they return to heaven. UNLESS, one rejects it!

Obviously your not, I was there once, thank God I'm not now. Hopefully you will too. No one crammed anything down my neck. The Holy Spirit convicted me and I became a believer. Its a very real and wonderful thing. Our spirits never were in Heaven (meaning like WE pre-existed there), you need to explain where you got that bogus information. When your born again or saved You receive the Holy Spirit at that very moment when you truly believe. Not at baptism as some teach which is another false teaching. I can remember where I was when this happened to me, then I went later and was baptized to proclaim publicly what had already happened in my heart. You could read the book of John and Romans for a start. Bye;

So let me get this straight... you quote probably the plainest verse in the Bible on the subject of being "born again" (in fact it is a couple verses later in this teaching that the words "born again" make their first appearance in scripture). But you say that it does not describe any "born again" that you know.
So sounds like you need to learn a little more about the experience. There is a born again experience available to everyone. It comes from acknowledging the Lordhip of Jesus over your life and believing in his resurrection and its ability to "birth" the spirit within you. That is what Jesus was speaking of in the passage you quoted. Notice he did not say you are already born of the spirit, it says "when you are...". So he cleared stated that there needs to be time when that happens. If we were automatcially born that way, why would Jesus say "You must be born again"?
After that, our spirits come from heaven, and when we die they return to heaven, unless one rejects that new birth.

Please realize that there are many more verses than the one that you listed affirming the concept of being born again. Being born again isn't a physical change, such as actually becoming a newborn, but it is an inward change that should affect our outward actions. The church is not shoving it down our throats, but the concept is completely necessary to live in heaven.

"As it is taught by the Church"??
If you mean the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church", the one that from the beginning, is the Church of the Apostles, the Church founded at Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Ghost - the Church Jesus Himself Founded when He breathed on His Disciples and said "Receive ye the Holy Spirit"....
YES!! That is taught by the Church.
And being Born Again means: "Being Baptized" That is the New Birth.
Romans 6:3-4 "Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
