One is that Christmas is celebrated on Dec 25. Biblical scholars believe that Jesus was actually born in the spring.

A lot of what we celebrate is based on tradition not fact. (examples: the date was set to challenge a pagan holiday, the wise men (of an undetermined number not necessarily 3) didn't come to the manger but to Jesus house much later, etc)

But the fact remains that it is a time to celebrate the fact that Christ was born.

It is also nice time to look up the facts for yourself. Read the bible and historical accounts and see where the truth lies.

What do you mean? Christ was born on Christmas even though he probably wasn't born on this exact day it is one chosen to represent his birth.
