Every Dog Sheds. The thing is you have to find one that sheds less than others. Short haired small dogs such as a rat terrier make good dogs and shedding is minimal but they do require a lot of excersise and play time. Another good one is a dacshund. As far as the shedding goes you should brush your dogs coat about once a week to help minimize shedding every where else.
Personally I have had anywhere from german shepards to rottwieilers as inside dogs. I cannot see bringing and an animal to live with me and keep it tied up in a back yard next to a barrel. However, onething I have learned after all these years is to never get a dog that is to big for the house but more importantly one that is to big for the yard as well.

Outside dogs can also be badly behaved. They can get stressed out since they are outside by themselves, so they destroy things to try and get rid of their boredom. Some even dig holes to try and escape, and when they are let in the house, they get excited and accidentally mess up something inside the house. My dog is both an indoor and outdoor dog. She stays outside sometimes when I'm tired or not home, but spends a lot of time inside the house. Edit: I know. I didn't say that's what your dogs do. I meant outside dogs in general.

Poodles don't shed and they're super smart and not as shaky as some other toy breeds. Have you seen the new "designer" breed, the puggle? It's a beagle/pug cross and they're really cute. Lhaso Apsos don't shed, I've been told. I don't think Westies or Yorkies shed alot but I'm not personally a terrier fan. Jack Russels don't shed but they're a terrier too. Welsh terriers don't shed and even though I'm not fond of terriers, they're sharp looking. Research different breeds at AKC.Com It's hard to say what to recommend because you didn't tell us much about your lifestyle or your home. Do you have kids? Other pets? Live in the city? Will be home all day? Ask again and be more specific. Good luck. Check out those puggles though!

I recommend getting a Shih Tzu. I own a Shih Tzu. He loves to follow me around my house and lay in my lap while I watch TV. He does like going outside, but not for a long period of time (maximum 25 minutes). When he is done playing outside, then he just waits for me by the door patiently to let him in the house. Also, I try to walk him everyday. I love the Shih Tzu breed because they are not demanding little dogs that always begging for your attention. My dog does not shed a lot; however, I have to spend at least 25 minutes grooming my dog every other day (short cut).

Ok, you see all dogs shed, but there are many that shed so little that you dont even see the fur. these include your basic fluffy-cutsie tiny dog, such as Min Poodle, Min Snchouz, Maltese, Havanese, etc.

This dogbreed quiz includes hybrids (mutts) but there will be some purebreds.

this one is all purebreds, and is listed from Best For You to Sort of OK for you

1. All dogs are inside dogs. If you have an outside dog, move it inside and you're done.
2. Christmas is a terrible time to get a new dog.
3. Mexican Hairless or stuffed animal

There is no such thing as the bets inside dog!
You need to look at your whole lifestyle. Dogs need exercise and a lot of care.
And I am sorry but they are not good xmas presents!

We have a Bischon Frise. He is super intelligent and he rarely sheds his coat. My grandson has allergies so this is the dog our vet recommended. Look it up, they are adorable fluffy white puppies with big brown eyes.

No No No No. If you want a cuddly toy then get a flipping cuddly toy. A dog is a serious commitment and you just aren't ready.
