I suspect beer, wine & spirits have something to do with it. Drunk people are often easily agitated, and small children can be loud and annoying.

It is so funny that you ask this question because I had to deal with both of my daughters being bullied in school. This is my take on the subject. Children are primitive and savage. They lack the communication skills to express themselves. Jeolousy, anger, and discontent at home or in their lives rears its head as picking on someone so they can vent what they feel. I believe it is just a symptom of a deeper problem. It is a cry for attention. It is sad in a way but at the same token it is not fair to the children that are subjected to their abuse. I tell my daughters that they must defend themselves. This is a rough, cruel, unforgiving world. I teach my girls don't pick fights and don't hit first, but don't be a punk. Defend yourself!. It is really a shame but that is life.

Most people say it is "for fun" it seems to be that they do it because the other person is inferior.
