In San Diego, the rate is about anywhere from $15 to $20 an hour for watching per children under 10 yrs. old. People who have a child development education charge a little higher, but that is usually the average charge.

$10/hr is pretty typical - and perhaps more or less depending on experience level. For instance, going through a locating service to find someone with CPR certification and years of experience might set you back $12 - $15 per hour, whereas the 14 year old girl across the street would probably be more than thrilled with $8 - $10 per hour.

At least 10 dollars an hour. If it's during the daytime when the children are awake/active and it requires lots of entertaining, storytime, meal-prep, it should be more like $12-$15.

I live in a small, rather poor area so these prices are going to probably sound cheap to alot of people.
For work: approximately $100 a week per kid.
Occasionally: I can get away paying $20-$30, but I also would wait until the kids are in bed.

$10 per hour for one child, and an extra 2 dollars an hour for each additional child is what I usually charge when I babysit.

That depends where you live. It would be around $15 an hour in or around NY City.
